Amanda has dedicated her career to supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence through her work with non-profits in Michigan and Oregon. She earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan and is a LMSW. Before returning to graduate school for a clinical degree, she earned a Masters in Critical Theory from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR. Her time at art school provided her with a strong critical lens rooted in social justice, creativity, and cultural awareness. Critical Theory informs her therapeutic work, by allowing her to help clients explore healing on the individual level but also in connection to broader systems and identities.

During graduate school, Amanda was a dual-enrolled student at the Mayo Clinic School of Health Science in Rochester, MN. At Mayo she received advanced training in providing clinical interventions to chronically ill patients across the lifespan. Particularly, she worked with brain injury survivors and completed research on the efficacy of EMDR and EFT as treatment modalities for patients suffering head trauma. Inspired by the power of trauma informed care, she went on to pursue training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and founded Jupiter Healing, LLC in 2023.

As a student of yoga for 15 years, Amanda holds an RYT 200 certification from the South Okanagan Yoga Academy, which enriches her integrative approach to therapy by combining psychotherapy with mind-body practices. She is committed to partnering with clients to co-create individualized treatment plans that honor their unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Jupiter Healing specializes in women's issues, chronic illness, trauma, and LGBTQ2IAS+ concerns. She currently sees clients age 18 and up. If you have questions or would like to connect, please reach out!
